DESTI-SMART
DESTI-SMART is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the Interreg Europe program. Its purpose is to harmonize regional and local policies across European regions on Sustainable Mobility, Accessibility, and Responsible Tourism.
Participants: 10 partners from Thessaloniki (Greece), Sardinia (Italy), Bremen (Germany), Madeira (Portugal), Mallorca (Spain), Hastings (UK), Vidzeme (Latvia), Lake Balaton (Hungary), and Paphos (Cyprus).
Duration: June 2018 to November 30, 2022.
Objectives:
Debate practices for decarbonizing transport systems;
Encourage intermodality for tourists using mobile apps and mobility information systems;
Promote accessible tourism for all;
Stimulate measures for soft modes (cycling/walking) as public transport complements.
