On June 5, 1986, Horários do Funchal - Transportes Públicos, S.A. was set up as a private limited company, 95% owned by the Regional Government of Madeira and 5% by Empresa de Eletricidade da Madeira. It also has shareholdings in the companies:

  • 100% in Transportes Integrados e Intermodais da Madeira, S.A.;
  • 5% in Optimização e Planeamento de Transporte, S.A..
