SEEMORE  


SEEMORE is a project co-financed by the European Union under the European Intelligent Energy Europe Program, aiming to improve the information provided to tourists and encouraging them to use public transport (both at urban and intercity levels).

This project is coordinated by the CINESI Transport Consultancy (Spain), which is also responsible for communication activities. SEEMORE involves the participation of 8 tourist regions: Balearic Islands (Spain), Bohuslän (Sweden), Forlì-Cesena (Italy), Dobrich (Bulgaria), Pomerania (Poland), Madeira (Portugal), Limassol (Cyprus), and Malta (Malta). The project also features the participation of the following consultancies: TRIVECTOR TRAFFIC AB (Sweden), responsible for the project's strategic definition; CEI-ES (Italy), responsible for the transferability of knowledge between partner regions and other experienced regions; and FGM-AMOR (Austria), responsible for project evaluation.

Horários do Funchal is the only local partner in the project and leads and coordinates the joint implementation of the consortium.

Objectives:  


From a sustainable transport perspective, the SEEMORE project serves as the ideal platform to implement demanding, ambitious, and innovative strategies for the tourism sector, targeting different tourist profiles and offering mobility options that can meet their specific needs.  

Through the SEEMORE project, Horários do Funchal aims to develop the following activities:
- Communication and information campaigns on sustainable mobility;
- Incentive systems to increase the use of sustainable mobility options;
- New sustainable mobility options.
