Creation of CETU, Urban Transport Studies Commission.
On April 11, CETU was created by Regional Government Resolution No. 469/85. This project aimed to study and organize an urban public transport company. Once the studies began, the company, its name, and graphic symbol were born. Data collection, planning, and visits to major national carriers marked the progressive formation of Horários do Funchal - Transportes Públicos, S.A.

On June 5, the company was legally constituted. Construction of the Horários do Funchal Station began, and the first bus arrived on August 12.
